Kennedy Center cancels Pride performance featuring Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington

A performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C. at the Kennedy Center has been canceled, as confirmed by the Chorus in a statement to WUSA9. President Donald Trump has recently fired board members and appointed himself chairman of the Kennedy Center.

Despite the cancellation, the Gay Men’s Chorus plans to perform “A Peacock Among Pigeons” during the Choral Festival at WorldPride 2025.

In a statement, the chorus expressed regret, stating they believe in the power of music to educate and uplift their community.
