Minnesota school settles with professor who was fired for showing image of the Prophet Muhammad

Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota settled a lawsuit with Dr. Erika López Prater, a professor who showed an image of Prophet Muhammad during one of her classes.

According to the settlement terms in the lawsuit between Hamline University and López Prater, there is a stipulation for a dismissal due within 60 days. López Prater said Hamline University dismissed her unfairly. She said this was partially due to race and believes the school would have treated her differently if she were Muslim.
