Musk says SpaceX will provide free Starlink terminals to areas hit by LA wildfires

SpaceX will reportedly provide free Starlink terminals to areas affected by wildfires in Los Angeles, according to Starlink CEO Elon Musk. Over 55 wildfires have occurred in Southern California since the start of the year, leading to the evacuations of tens of thousands of people.

The Palisades Fire has spread across over 17,000 acres, with a reported death toll of five, according to Forbes. T-Mobile and SpaceX announced Starlink coverage for those in need, enabling wireless emergency alerts and SMS texting during the crisis.
