Nearly 8 million living illegally in sanctuary cities across US: CIS

Nearly 8 million people are illegally living in sanctuary cities across the U.S. The Center for Immigration Studies reported on the number of those living illegally and residing in these cities.

The study found 7.9 million people living illegally in these areas. That equals more than half of those who are estimated to be living illegally in the country.

Many residents of sanctuary cities believe that these policies attract illegal immigration.

Concerns have been raised about the impact of illegal immigration on local resources and services.
