Pro-Trump Arab American group changing name after Gaza remarks

The group Arab Americans for Trump is now called Arab Americans for Peace after President Donald Trump suggested U.S. ownership of Gaza. Bishara Bahbah, chairman of the group, stated they are “completely opposed to the idea of the transfer of Palestinians.”
The group appreciates Trump’s offer to rebuild Gaza but disagrees with his takeover suggestion. Bahbah mentioned that the name change had been considered for “a while” before the decision was made. While Bahbah credited Trump for last month’s ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, he said that peace is the “primary motive” behind the group, and that’s what spurred the name change.
