Secretary Hegseth says the DOD does not do ‘climate change crap’

Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the U.S. Department of Defense does not prioritize climate change initiatives, focusing instead on war fighting and training. Hegseth noted initial findings from the Department of Government Efficiency that identified millions spent on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, which the DOD plans to cut.

Pentagon spokesperson John Ullyot emphasized that climate initiatives are not part of the DOD’s mission, calling them distractions.

Experts warned that cuts to climate programs could threaten military readiness and the safety of troops.
