Senate plans confirmation hearings for Trump cabinet next week: Report

The Senate will hold confirmation hearings for Pam Bondi and Pete Hegseth starting Jan. 14, 2025, as reported by multiple sources. More than 110 former Justice Department officials urged swift confirmation of Bondi, citing her impressive credentials and experience as Florida attorney general.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley expressed confidence in Bondi’s ability to restore credibility to the Department of Justice.

“I think we’re going to find the Justice Department prosecuting and not being used as a political weapon against political enemies,” Grassley said.

The Senate Agriculture Committee plans to hold hearings for Brooke Rollins and Lee Zeldin on Jan. 15 or Jan. 16.
