West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice appoints wife Cathy to state education board after U.S. Senate win

Just days after a decisive victory during the Nov. 5 general election, West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice, R, has appointed his wife Cathy to the West Virginia State Board of Education after his U.S. Senate victory. Cathy Justice, holding a degree in secondary education, will serve a nine-year term.
Gov. Justice stated that Cathy Justice is more than qualified for the position, despite questions about nepotism. Cathy will serve the term after Dr. Daniel Snavely’s term expired this week, creating the opening.
