The first few weeks of President Donald Trump’s second term have sparked a range of public controversies on everything from the Jan. 6 pardons to the abrupt shutting down of USAID and a constitutional crisis between the branches of government. But while Democrats raise alarms over these and other concerns, Republicans are celebrating the achievement of some of their own longstanding goals, including eliminating DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) programs and scaling up deportation efforts nationwide.

Watch the above video as Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker reviews what she says are some of President Trump’s chief achievements during his first few weeks back in the Oval Office, from immigration to abortion and everything in between, and declares that Donald Trump’s return to office is a story of “promises made, promises kept.”

The following is an excerpt from the above video:

President Trump has taken bold action and unveiled a sweeping new agenda in his very first days as America’s 47th president.

As promised, Trump signed executive orders to secure America’s borders, unlock energy resources, roll back excessive regulations and reform government agencies. Our new president is eliminating misguided DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) programs and implementing a system that’s based on our Constitution, it’s based on equal opportunity and individual merit. He’s affirming the biological reality of two sexes and clearly defining male and female [with] an executive order entitled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth in the Federal Government.” Yeah, that’s the name of it.

Trump directs that government identifications like passports and personal records, they’ll reflect biological realities and not some self-assessed gender identity.

President Trump has taken bold action and unveiled a sweeping new agenda in his very first days as America’s 47th president, as promised, Trump signed executive orders to secure America’s borders, unlock energy resources, roll back excessive regulations and reform government agencies. Our new president is eliminating misguided dei diversity equity inclusion programs and implementing a system that’s based on our Constitution. It’s based on equal opportunity and individual merit. He’s affirming the biological reality of two sexes and clearly defining male and female, an executive order entitled defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth in the federal government. Yeah, that’s the name of it. Trump directs that government identifications like passports and personal records, they’ll reflect biological realities and not some self assessed gender identity. The executive order ends the practice of housing men in women’s prisons and taxpayer funded transitions for male prisoners. Yeah, you heard it. We’ve been doing that, and he ended it. It ends the forced recitation of preferred pronouns, and protects Americans. Protects our First Amendment. It protects our statutory rights to recognize the biological and binary nature of sex. This includes protections in the workplace and in federally funded entities like schools. On day one, President Trump directed the US military to work with the Department of Homeland Security to fully secure the southern border and to eliminate all criminal cartels that are operating on our soil. He has designated these cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and has determined to fully eradicate them. Trump reinstituted the remain in Mexico policy. He directed the military to construct a new area of border wall. He granted emergency authority to suspend the entry of illegal immigrants across our southern border, which allows for individual apprehensions and then promptly returned to their country of origin. The new president, he’s done so much already, he’s called for an end to government censorship and the reinstatement of military service members who were discharged for objective to take the COVID vaccine. Trump will fully unleash Alaska’s energy, and he’s rescinding regulations that impose undue burdens on energy production and use. He’s empowering consumer choice in vehicles, shower heads, toilets, washing machines, light bulbs and dishwashers. Freedom again, President Trump and Vice President JD Vance addressed the annual March for Life On January the 24th boy, all we heard during that election period was abortion, abortion, abortion. Well, they went to the march for life. They spoke into the march for life on january 24 the President issued executive orders that that very same day, affirming the dignity of human life and ensuring that American taxpayers are not complicit in the performance or the promotion of abortion. Trump told the American people his policies. He said what he would do, he would pursue and he would take bold action to implement that common sense agenda, promises made, promises kept. That’s what he’s doing. The early days of the Trump second term, put on our seat belts because we’re not even in the first quarter of his presidency. You.
