Republicans need to take a stand against Elon Musk

Elon Musk has come under heavy public criticism lately for a number of bold actions that experts say are illegal, unconstitutional and dangerous to national security. While Democrats have been pushed hard by their constituents to raise protests against Musk’s moves, Republicans in Congress have been quiet, at times even defensive of Elon Musk.

Watch the above video as Straight Arrow News contributor Dr. Rashad Richey calls out Republicans and asks why they’re content to sit back and watch a man who no one voted for “take over the American government.”

The following is an excerpt from the above video:

As a matter of fact, I remember there was a time when those in the conservative movement, those in MAGA, could actually say something against Elon Musk, could be thoughtful about their critique of Elon Musk. But all of a sudden, because Donald Trump has blessed him, made him the heir apparent to the MAGA throne, everybody is silent on the Right when it comes to Elon Musk.

This is an oligarch taking over the American government, having freedom to do as he chooses. There is no check and balance.

Let me ask you a question: Do you really believe that Elon Musk doesn’t have more power than JD Vance? Of course, you know he has more power than JD Vance, but here’s the problem with that — at least JD Vance is elected! He’s elected as the vice president of the United States on a ticket, Trump and Vance. All of that is constitutionally mandated and appropriate. Nobody elected Elon.

Yeah,

all right, let’s talk about your president of the United States. That’s right, President Elon Musk. President Elon Musk is the one African that Maga actually likes. But listen, you cannot be comfortable with this madness. Elon Musk has now become de facto commander in chief. They’re calling him the first buddy, but the truth is, where is the Vice President of the United States? I damn near forgot he even exists. Where’s Donald Trump on these issues? Are they even coordinating? This has been one of the most heartless and truly clumsy. It’s a clumsy roll out when you consider the reality of what’s happening. Now, if you are a maga member and happen to be a Trump supporter or just an everyday routine Republican which, by the way, you all are fading out quickly, you can’t be comfortable with this because you voted for Trump. You didn’t vote for Elon. As a matter of fact, I remember there was a time when those in the conservative movement, those in Maga could actually say something against Elon Musk. No one really saw it coming in this way. But here we are. What say you? I.
