President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump for what he described as an “onslaught of lies” regarding the federal response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The Republican presidential candidate has been accused of lying on many occasions, including his repeated claim that he won the 2020 election, which Trump asserts was fraudulent. Biden won the election with 306 electoral votes, compared to Trump’s 232.

In the video above, Straight Arrow News contributor Dr. Rashad Richey argues that Trump’s frequent lies create chaos, extending even to his “Make America Great Again” slogan.

The following is an excerpt from the above video:

Can you explain what year you’re talking about? What year would we say America was great? None of them can answer that question. What is the draining of the swamp? When did you do that, Trump?

How about the lie of Haitian immigrants? The most recent one. And you remember the lie that Trump told at another rally where he said that that Haitian immigrants are running off with their geese? Well, that happened to be a white male named Brian. You think Trump is going to correct the record on that?

Trump has told so many lies that is difficult to keep up with the number of lies he has told. So let’s be adult about the conversation. You have a guy who is a clinical liar running against a president, vice presidential duo who, yes, they have pivoted and at times made misrepresentations, par [for] the course in American politics. Donald Trump, well, he’s completely outside of anything that we would understand as normal, alright. And if you hold on to the lies of Trump, while at the same time besmirching VP Harris or Governor Walz, understand your bias is coming through loud and clear.

Okay, unfortunately, In American politics, we don’t get to select the President of the United States. We have to elect them, which means we are always faced with typically voting for individuals we don’t 100% agree with, but we have to weigh pros and cons. Who aligns with our personal and community ideology more so than the other. Let’s be very clear. Governor walls has been called out because he’s made misrepresentations. He’s a politician. You mean to tell me a politician made misrepresentations? Oh, my goodness, the world is going to come to an end. What will we do in the American political class? Not a damn thing. Because politicians have been lying since day one. They all have made misrepresentations. They’ve embellished things. Okay, here’s the irony of it. How can that be a negative when The other choice is a guy who lies when the truth will do you cannot dismiss the reality of Donald Trump being one of the most dishonest politicians in American history.

You see, this is the problem with having such a problematic Republican nominee, because if Donald Trump did not lie damn nearly every day, you probably would have some there, there with some of the misrepresentations. Called that a knucklehead moment, if you choose of Governor Walz, or perhaps some of the pivoting, political pivoting of VP Kamala Harris, now presidential candidate Kamala Harris, but because you have such a flawed candidate in Donald Trump, because you have an individual who has lied, lied and lied more, because you have this in Donald Trump, it is now damn near impossible to hold anyone accountable running against him to tell the truth. But let’s be very clear, when you compare Donald Trump’s lies to the misrepresentations of laws, they’re not really comparable, are they? You see, Donald Trump has lied, and his lies create chaos. His lies create narratives that get people harmed. His lies made individuals, animated them to storm the Capitol. His lies actually have massive consequence. His lies routinely are charged with racism, vitriol. His lies have cause and effect when it comes to other people. So let’s be very clear when we’re talking about American politicians, especially in this political cycle, you have a candidate on the Republican side for President of the United States who has gone well beyond making misrepresentations. He has attempted to make the primary part of his campaign a narrative of lies itself. The nature of the Trump candidacy is a lie. Make America Great Again.
