The claim the world is off its rocker. Nothing makes sense. The evidence, the wave of hatred and anti semitism aimed at Jews and Israel since the horrific attack by Hamas October 7, you would think they were a small nation surrounded by enemies, a nation under fire since it was founded in 1948, a nation that rose from the ashes of one of the great atrocities in world history. You would think that when such a country is invaded, attacked and brutalized by terrorists, who killed 30 100 people kidnapped more than 200 others and raped scores of young women, you would think that when this happens to a country and to a people, the world would react with support, grief, compassion, and sympathy, not chance, not when Jews are involved. Whether Jews are on the attack or defending themselves after an attack, it’s always the Jews fault. And for many people around the globe, anytime is the right time to be anti semitic, and practice anti Jew hatred, even right after hundreds of Jews have been butchered in their own homeland, literally on the day after the attacks the day after, on October 8, there were protests on college campuses in the United States, where a mixture of student activists and outside agitators decided that the best defense was to be offensive. The protesters brushed aside the attack by Hamas and instead scream for Israel to leave the quote, occupied territories. See, that’s a reference to territory seized for defensive strategic purposes during the 1967 War, where Israel was attacked by Egypt, Jordan and Syria simultaneously, and still emerged victorious. most egregiously, the protesters accused the Israelis of carrying out a genocide against Palestinians. Note Israel no longer occupies the territories, including the Gaza Strip. In fact, that’s how we got here. Hamas controls Gaza and uses it to plan and carry out attacks against Israel. attacks which had vows will never stop. Mind you, the protests against Israel started before the counter offensive into Gaza. This is because the Middle East conflict is not about land, or Palestinian homeland. It’s about hatred and vengeance, at least it is at this point. These are some hard truths, folks. The Khan you won’t hear from the United Nations, which has spent 40 years passing resolutions that condemn Israel. Even though the UN Charter itself recognizes the right of nations to self defense. There seems to be a built in exception when the nation is Israel. In fact, the legal arm of the UN, the International Court of Justice recently charged Israel with war crimes and crimes against humanity. It even issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make things look kosher. the ICJ also issued a symbolic arrest warrant for the leader of Hamas, a lot of good that will do. Meanwhile, in the United States, the House of Representatives and the Senate are working on bipartisan bills, condemning anti semitism and seeking to combat it on high school and college campuses. The bills would broaden the definition of anti semitism that the Department of Education uses to enforce anti discrimination laws. The House passed its bill by a wide margin. there is controversy of course, this is Washington after all, the bills broaden the definition of anti semitism to include the quote targeting of the State of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity. Some Americans and number of lawmakers maintain that criticizing Israel is not in of itself anti semitic. Other critics say that the change would encourage censorship of free speech on college and university campuses. My view is a criticizing Israel is not automatically anti semitic, but challenging the right of Israel to exist most certainly is with regard to protesters. My view and the courts back me up on this is that challenging us policy toward Israel is protected speech. But insulting, harassing or threatening Jewish students is not. But let’s not get so tangled up in the controversy that we lose sight of the common sense. The House Bill is titled, The anti semitism awareness act. That’s perfect. anti semitism is occurring still now as before, and apparently always, and Americans need to be aware of it and do whatever we can to fight it. Simple as that.

Following Hamas’ attack on Oct. 7, 2023, nations around the world pledged aid and support for the people of Israel. But global support rapidly dwindled as Israeli bombs rained down on Gaza and the civilian death toll climbed higher and higher. Today, Israel stands accused of genocide, and its leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, may be indicted for crimes against humanity.
Watch the video above as Straight Arrow News contributor Ruben Navarrette defends Israel’s behavior and argues that charges of genocide and crimes against humanity from the global community are just new forms of antisemitism.

There is controversy, of course. This is Washington after all. The bills broaden the definition of antisemitism to include the “targeting of the State of Israel” conceived as a Jewish collectivity. Some Americans and a number of lawmakers maintain that criticizing Israel is not in and of itself antisemitic. Other critics say that the change would encourage censorship of free speech on college and university campuses.
My view is that criticizing Israel is not automatically antisemitic, but challenging the right of Israel to exist most certainly is. With regard to protesters, my view, and the courts back me up on this, is that challenging U.S. policy toward Israel is protected speech. But insulting, harassing or threatening Jewish students is not. But let’s not get so tangled up in the controversy that we lose sight of the common sense.
The House bill is titled “The Antisemitism Awareness Act.” That’s perfect. Antisemitism is occurring still now, as before, and apparently always, and Americans need to be aware of it and do whatever we can to fight it. Simple as that.

Why Democrats’ immigration playbook not working with Latino voters
In June 2012, as President Barack Obama campaigned for reelection, he ordered immigration enforcement agents to defer action against those who had arrived in the United States as children. This executive action, known as DACA, offered a path to work permits for hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants. That November, Obama cruised to reelection, beating…
