ACCORDING TO A NEW REUTERS POLL –
FOUR IN FIVE AMERICANS BELIEVE THE COUNTRY IS “SPIRALING OUT OF CONTROL” FOLLOWING THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AT TRUMP’S RALLY.
84 PERCENT OF AMERICANS SAY THEY ARE CONCERNED THAT PEOPLE WILL COMMIT “ACTS OF VIOLENCE” AFTER THE ELECTION.
WHEN THE SAME QUESTION WAS ASKED TWO MONTHS AGO –
74 PERCENT OF AMERICANS WERE WORRIED ABOUT POLITICAL VIOLENCE AFTER NOVEMBER FIFTH.
A 10 PERCENT JUMP FOLLOWING RECENT HISTORIC EVENTS.
AS FAR AS SUPPORT FOR EACH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE –
ACCORDING TO THIS POLL – THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ALONE HASN’T CHANGED MANY POLITICAL VIEWS – TRUMP LEADING BIDEN 43 TO 41 PERCENT – WITHIN THE MARGIN OF ERROR.
THE POLL ALSO ASKED REPUBLICAN RESPONDENTS IF THEY BELIEVE THERE WAS DIVINE INTERVENTION INVOLVED IN TRUMP SO NARROWLY SURVIVING THE GUNFIRE.
TWO IN THREE REPUBLICANS BELIEVE GOD PLAYED A ROLE IN PROTECTING THEIR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.
