  • Immigrant rights activists are aiming to disrupt ICE operations in Los Angeles, and some sources say information leaks from within law enforcement may have led to the cancellation of a raid.
  • Federal authorities, including “border czar” Tom Homan, have warned that any leaks of law enforcement information will result in prosecution. Despite these disruptions, large-scale deportations are still expected in the city.

Full Story

Flyers displaying the names, photos, and phone numbers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been posted throughout a Southern California neighborhood. The posters, written in Spanish, warn residents with the message, “CAREFUL WITH THESE FACES.”

The flyers accuse ICE of “racially terrorizing” and criminalizing migrant communities and criticize the agency’s deportation practices. The group responsible for the flyers remains unknown, but ICE has launched an investigation.

ICE disruptions

Federal officials say anti-ICE activists are working to disrupt ICE operations in Los Angeles and other areas.

Immigrant rights activists have been tailing ICE agents and reportedly keeping watch on their operations. They are openly critical of the Trump administration’s deportation efforts.

Ron Gochez of Union Del Barrio said at a press conference, “You will not come into our community without facing an organized resistance.”

Republicans defend ICE operations

California Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones has condemned the actions of anti-ICE activists, stating that interference with law enforcement efforts to apprehend migrants with criminal records poses serious risks to public safety.

“Whenever anyone — politicians, members of the public, or criminals themselves — interferes with law enforcement’s actions, it creates serious risks and dangers for everyone involved,” Jones said.

Prior ICE leaks to media

Trump’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, has warned that any leaks of information within law enforcement agencies will lead to prosecution.

Homan’s statement follows reports of a specific ICE raid in Los Angeles that was reportedly canceled after leaked intelligence surfaced in the media. However, large-scale deportations are still expected to take place in the city this month.
