While criticizing the Biden-Harris administration, Trump specifically addressed migrants who have been convicted of murder living in the U.S. during an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

“How about allowing people to come through an open border, 13,000 of which were murderers, many of them murdered far more than one person, and they’re now happily living in the United States,” Trump said. “I believe this, it’s in their genes, and we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now. They had 425,000 people come into our country that shouldn’t be here that are criminals.”
His remarks reference a recently released report from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which stated that 435 thousand migrants with criminal convictions have been released by the agency. Among them, 13,000 had murder convictions.
The data spans four decades and includes figures up to July 21 of this year. It remains unclear how many of these migrants entered and were released during the Biden administration.
