In addition to the bonuses, Meta is offering creators a free trial of Meta Verified. Normally, the verified badge comes with a monthly cost ranging from $15 to $120. This sought-after blue checkmark provides exclusive features that help accounts stand out.
Creators who already have a presence on other platforms can access these bonuses and perks.
An answer to TikTok’s CapCut
Meta’s latest initiative comes amid growing uncertainty surrounding TikTok in the U.S. Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced a new app called “Edits,” set to launch next month.
“Edits” is seen as Meta’s response to CapCut, a popular video editing app owned by TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance. If TikTok fails to reach an agreement with U.S. regulators by the 75-day deadline announced Monday, Jan. 20, CapCut and other related apps could face removal from the U.S. market.

It’s time for creators to turn their Meta posts into paychecks! The company is now offering $5,000 bonuses over three months for creators who post on Instagram, Reels, and Facebook.
By sharing content to those apps, creators also gain access to Facebook’s content monetization program – where they can earn even more money for their posts. And as another perk, creators will also get access to a free trial of Meta Verified.
Normally, a verified badge comes with a price tag – anywhere from $15 to $120 a month. And with it, users get exclusive features that make their accounts stand out. These bonuses are available for creators who already have a presence on other apps.
This move comes amid other attempts to lure users from other platforms – including TikTok which remains under scrutiny in the U.S. for its ties to China’s government. On Sunday, Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced a new app called Edits which is set to release next month.
“It’s hoping not to just be an editing tool but a full suite of creative tools who are passionate about making videos on your phone.”
This new app could be Meta’s answer to CapCut – the popular video editing app from TikTok’s parent company ByteDance. If TikTok fails to reach an agreement with U.S. regulators by the 75-day deadline, apps like CapCut could disappear along with it.
From monetization bonuses to new features, Meta is making big moves that either mimic or compete directly with TikTok.
