President Biden has been hitting the campaign trail recently and he’s been talking a lot about MAGA Republicans.
Biden says: “Trump and the MAGA Republicans made their choice.”
President Joe Biden says: “MAGA Republicans do not respect the constitution, they do not believe in the rule of law,”
New polling conducted after the President’s speech from Independence Hall in Pennsylvania reveals what voters think about former President Trump’s most loyal supporters and of President Biden’s rhetoric.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found 58% of Americans believe the Make America Great Again movement is threatening America’s democratic foundations. That includes 1 in four Republicans. But 60% of Republicans don’t think Trump and MAGA represent a majority of the party, according to the poll.
Now for the President’s rhetoric, 59 percent of respondents in the Reuters poll said Biden’s speech will further divide the country. That aligns very closely with a trafalgar group poll that found nearly 57% of Americans, including 62% of independents, believe it was an escalation in rhetoric and designed to incite conflict. 35 percent in the Trafalgar poll said Biden’s speech was acceptable campaign messaging.
