Queen Elizabeth II under medical supervision, doctors ‘concerned’ for her health

Share

Doctors have expressed concern over Queen Elizabeth’s health Thursday morning. Buckingham Palace has said the 96-year-old queen is currently under medical supervision. Her family has traveled to be by her side. The news comes just two days after Queen Elizabeth met with new Prime Minister Liz Truss. Truss expressed her concerns on Twitter after hearing the news.

“The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime,” Truss tweeted. “My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

The monarch canceled a meeting she was set to attend yesterday as she was told to rest. Doctors have not specified what has caused Queen Elizabeth’s health to decline but have said she is comfortable at her castle.
