US troops injured during raid that killed ISIS leader in Syria

Four U.S. service members have been wounded and a senior ISIS leader has been killed during a helicopter raid in Syria. The senior ISIS leader, Hamza al-Homsi, was the target of the raid in northeast Syria and was successfully killed in the operation, according to the U.S. military.

An explosion during the raid injured four U.S. service members and a working dog. All are receiving treatment at a U.S. medical facility in Iraq.

The U.S. partnered with Syrian Democratic Forces to execute the raid Thursday night.
