Yummy food, and wine. How can you go wrong?
That might have been Vice President Kamala Harris’ plan when she invited the 24 female Senators over to her house at the Naval Observatory last night.
All but three senators, two Republican and one democrat, came to dinner.
Senator Debbie Stabenow posted some pictures of the dinner to her Twitter page.
In this picture, you can see Republican senator Lisa Murkowski seated right next to the vice president.
Republican senator Marcia Blackburn from Tennessee went on Fox News right after last night’s dinner and said she had a great time.
She said they didn’t talk policy at the dinner.
As for what they ate…
Senator Stabenow said the vice president herself made the cheese puffs.
Also on the menu, salad, mahi mahi and a strawberry rhubarb pastry for dessert.
