Sree Sreenivasan is an expert on how technology is changing our lives for better and for worse. He is the inaugural Marshall Loeb visiting Professor of Digital Innovation at Stony Brook School of Communication and Journalism and is CEO and co-founder of Digimentors, a digital, social, and virtual and hybrid events consulting company.
He has served as Chief Digital Officer of New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Columbia University where he was a professor of journalism for 20+ years. In 2015, Fast Company named him one of the 100 most creative people in business; in 2010, the Poynter Institute named Mr. Sreenivasan one of the 35 most influential people in social media; and in 2014, the CDO Club named him most influential Chief Digital Officer.
Mr. Sreenivasan writes a weekly email with tech, social, and life tips, produced a New York Times guide to social media, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched various video and radio shows, interviewing more than 800 doctors, nurses, scientists and other experts.
He earned a master’s degree in journalism at Columbia University.
