A judge has branded Google a monopolist, but AI may bring about quicker change in internet search

A federal judge has now branded Google as a ruthless monopolist that is working to stifle competitors, according to a ruling from U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta. This comes from an antitrust case.

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to grow, it is most likely going to alter the internet search industry faster than legal actions can be made.

Google’s CEO, Sunday Pichai, now has to manage both legal challenges while also working on an industry shift towards artificial intelligence technology.
