Threats to federal judges increasing, US Marshals Service warns

The U.S. Marshals Service has reported a significant rise in threats against federal judges linked to their rulings involving President Donald Trump, as noted by sources familiar with the warnings. Chief Justice John Roberts highlighted that over 1,000 serious threats against federal judges have been investigated in the last five years, resulting in more than 50 criminal charges.

Ronald Davis, former director of the U.S. Marshals, stated that threats against judges have surged at an alarming rate, indicating the need for enhanced resources to protect the judiciary.

William Bay, president of the American Bar Association, condemned attempts to intimidate judges, asserting that threats undermine the rule of law.
