A new report from ProPublica following an investigation found at least nine witnesses in former President Donald Trump’s multiple criminal trials received multiple benefits. The bonuses included large pay raises, generous severance packages, new job offers and other financial benefits from the Trump campaign and other Trump businesses.
The investigation by ProPublica did an analysis of public disclosures, court records and securities filings.
According to the investigation, one campaign aide had their monthly salary increase from about $26,000 to $53,500.
