Anti-Tesla violence reveals deeper problem in American culture

On March 24, the FBI announced the creation of a task force to investigate what it called “domestic terrorism” targeting Tesla, the electric vehicle company run by billionaire Elon Musk. The announcement follows worldwide anti-Musk and anti-Tesla protests and boycotts in recent months.

A range of more alarming incidents — some including gunfire or arson — have occurred in the United States, although no serious injuries have been sustained.

Watch the above video as Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker reviews recent extremist attacks against Tesla vehicles or facilities and says that American liberals are not doing enough to rein in these extremist elements within the “Tesla takedown.”

The following is an excerpt from the above video:

Progressive activists are ramping up the so-called “Tesla takedown.” These protests show their displeasure over CEO Elon Musk’s role in cutting spending and shrinking the federal workplace since President Trump took office in January.

Well, some of these protests have become violent, and that seems to be just fine with many of these activists. In Portland, Oregon, for instance, police say someone fired seven bullets into three Teslas at a nearby dealership. Molotov cocktails were thrown at the electric vehicles, setting them on fire. Tesla charging stations have also been set ablaze in Las Vegas. Electric vehicles were set on fire, and the word “resist” was spray-painted on the dealership’s building.

One West Coast dealership had to remove spray-painted swastikas and profanity from its vehicles.

Some liberal television hosts are getting laughs. They think it’s funny, and they joke about the Tesla vandalism, and they cheer when they show videos of Teslas burning. In more serious moments, they seek to explain away the acts of violence. Hmm, sounds familiar to what we had to deal with in 2020, when they were terrorizing even Portland, Oakland. These left-wing progressives, well, Attorney General Pam Bondi doesn’t see any humor in these destructive acts.

Hmm, sounds familiar to what we had to deal with in 2020 when they were terrorizing even Portland, Oakland, these left wing progressives. Well, Attorney General Pam Bondi doesn’t see any humor in these destructive acts. And in fact, she said in quotes, the swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism. End quote. And then she went on to say, we will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes. End quote and hallelujah, Attorney General Bondi,

unlike 2020 we actually have an attorney general who’s going to do something about these crimes, what we are witnessing is the tragic result of a society that is becoming more lawless with each passing day. The basis of a civilized, decent and just society is law, but law, if it is going to be respected, it has to be rooted in core values and eternal truths, in the words of our second president, John Adams, we need, end quote, a government of laws, not of men. End Quote, In our zeal, or in their zeal, to purge our nation of Judeo, Christian values driven by this false notion that religion hampers rather than enhances, our freedoms. We bear the consequences of this effort. The answer is not to abandon the principles that make us a free country, but this is what’s happening. Those who are the loudest and the most aggressive about what is supposedly wrong, they don’t want a free country. Their complaint is not about absence of freedom, but who has the power and who’s running the show. What we need is to restore a culture that embraces personal responsibility and personal accountability for one’s actions. Our nation’s Declaration of Independence recognizes the pursuit of happiness as an inalienable right endowed by our Creator, and says that we are all created equal. Now, what governments are instituted to secure these rights, it is not their role to guarantee equal outcomes, which is what the left always wants. It is their duty to ensure equal opportunity, which is what the right always wants. And so thus, as a society, it is all of our duty to exercise those rights responsibly so.
