Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow and a vocal supporter of former President Trump, announced his company is auctioning off over 700 pieces of company equipment, ranging from forklifts to office desks and cubicles. According to Lindell, MyPillow has lost $100 million in sales after more than a dozen large retailers, including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, stopped carrying MyPillow products in their stores.
Lindell blames “cancel culture” for the sharp drop in sales but Straight Arrow News contributor Rashad Richey explains why Lindell, and Lindell alone, is to blame for his company’s overall problems.
He offered to pay $5 million to anyone who could prove a store of computer data he had acquired was not in fact 2020 election data. But after a computer expert quickly proved the data was bogus, Lindell refused to pay, which led to an arbitration. And that arbitration panel ordered Michael Lindell to pay $5 million.
That is one of the greatest unforced errors in the history of litigation. And then Lindell also faces a $1.3 billion lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, which alleges that the MyPillow chief executive officer falsely accused the company of rigging the 2020 presidential election.
Mike, the reason you’re going broke, sir, is because of Donald Trump — and your damn self.
