My prediction for 2023 Is that Donald Trump failed former president gets indicted there are a number of ways that this could happen. There could be a federal indictment coming. There could be an indictment in New York coming. There could be an indictment in Georgia coming those are the three largest possibilities and most likely possibilities. I am not making any prediction as to whether Donald Trump will settle, will go to trial will be found guilty will serve time in prison. Actually, my prediction is he will not serve time in prison. But I do believe that during the 2023 calendar year Donald Trump is going to be indicted. Now the reality is that Trump could be indicted for so many different things, probably dozens of instances of interfering and obstructing with all sorts of different investigations during his first four years, you could make a case for sedition as part of Trump’s inciting and insurrection. You could make a case for significant criminality and Donald Trump acting in the state of Georgia to try to overturn the election results. Remember, Joe Biden won Georgia in 2020. Trump tried to steal it. He said I need 11,000 votes, give me a break, and acted and tried to strong arm people. There are so many possible crimes that Donald Trump has committed. And I believe at a certain point at the end of the day in 2023, it’s going to end with Donald Trump indicted, I do not yet know and some of the interesting questions are, how will this affect Trump’s 2024 Run? It’s been largely inactive. He’s mostly stayed home since announcing the candidacy in November. Polling is in the toilet, losing to Ron DeSantis. And many polls, Ron DeSantis, hasn’t even announced that he’s running for anything. And so it’s not looking particularly good. So there’s sort of two ways to think about this. If Trump is indicted, will it force him out? Or if Trump is indicted? will it provide an opportunity, a welcome opportunity for Donald Trump to bail on what is so far a completely failing 2020 for a campaign. That being said, I would advise my fellow liberals not to assume that Trump has no shot. Many assumed that in 2016, and we’re wrong. And it would be smart not to do that, because a lot can happen. A lot can change between now and 2024. In particular, Trump’s number one opponent, Ron DeSantis, is not actually running yet. And if indeed he decides not to run, that support is going to have to go somewhere else. And part of it may go to Trump and it might end up shaking out and looking kind of okay for him. So indictment watches happening. We’ll see if the campaign gets going. We’ll see what the scope of that campaign is. And also it’ll be important to see what happens within the Republican National Committee. Rhonda McDaniel is being challenged for RNC chair by Mike pillow, you know, the my pillow CEO and founder Michael and Dell. That’s a big pro Trump voice. We’ll have to see what happens there. So let’s see in a year, whether I ended up being vindicated or if this is yet another one of my failed predictions. I’ve had some bad predictions in the past. And we will continue to follow all of it very closely.

Why DOGE is deliberately breaking programs that work
President Trump’s rapid, chaotic and often illegal downsizing of the U.S. federal government has elicited sharp criticism, even as some of Trump’s own supporters say they support the effort. Much of that work has been spearheaded by Elon Musk, a Trump mega-donor and alleged chief of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk claims that… -
How Trump is putting economy at risk
As President Donald Trump recently refused in an interview to rule out the possibility that his trade policies could trigger a recession — calling the economy a “transition” — economists are debating whether the U.S. is headed for a downturn. Many have raised the odds of a recession, citing troubling indicators such as declining consumer… -
Americans leaving due to Trump policies could harm economy
Americans’ interest in leaving the U.S. has surged since Donald Trump’s reelection. The morning after his victory, Google searches on how to leave the country spiked 1,514%. A recent survey found that 17% of Americans want to move abroad within five years, with Canada as the top choice. In liberal cities, the numbers are even… -
Elon Musk and DOGE might not save a penny of US spending
Special Government Employee Elon Musk says that he’s eliminated around $16.5 billion in U.S. federal spending through reductions in Executive-branch programs, workforces and more, although an NPR investigation pegs the real figure closer to just $2 billion. Musk’s actions have raised a number of overlapping controversies, with critics saying that he is deliberately targeting agencies that… -
Trump knew his promise to lower egg prices was nonsense
In August 2024, then-candidate Donald Trump held a press conference surrounded by packaged foods, milk and eggs, proclaiming: “When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One.” Now, as President, Trump faces a surge in egg prices, which jumped more than 15% last month due to the ongoing avian flu — the largest…
