Big problems at our southern border have been amassing since President Biden took office in May of this year alone. Customs and Border Patrol reports 239,416 encounters of migrants crossing the border with over 12,000 of them being an accompanied children. That was just one month. In just one week this month. Massive groups of more than 13,000 Migrants have recently crossed the Del Rio, some of the largest groups to single handedly cross our southern border ever had just in one week in one sector of the border. Meanwhile, the Mexican cartel takes advantage of the chaos under the Biden administration smuggling 1000s of pounds of the dangerous drug fentanyl across our border. And while facts and figures prove increasingly daunting, is the Halloween stories we hear every day that are truly drowning the news with sorrow, according to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, the alleged rape of a 10 year old girl from Ohio that has dominated the news cycle because of abortion was committed by an illegal immigrant. Meanwhile, the FBI has warned that there is an increasing trend of cartels smugglers holding migrants for ransom at Texas stash houses after sneaking them across the border. So they’re sneaking them in and then they stash them. In these houses, entire families. Parents, children are increasingly in danger. according to FBI, these houses are filled with trash, no air conditioning, even though Texas heat is been in the Texas heat and the migrant families are being forced to drink out of bathtubs. That’s where they’re getting the water. Earlier this year, the devastating news that Texas National Guardsmen bishop e. Evans had drowned while saving the lives of two illegal immigrants crossing the Rio Grande it was it was heartbreaking. And it should have gotten us a whole lot of a better place than we are right now a whole lot more attention than we are giving it right now here in Washington DC. He was only 22 years old. And the two illegal immigrants that he tried to save that he did say turned out to be drug traffickers. The Biden administration should not keep saying that we don’t have a crisis at our southern border. And even when Biden met with the president of Mexico recently, he barely spoke a word. While the meeting was dominated with the Mexican president speaking on how his national gas prices are much lower than ours. Internationally, we’re being mocked. Biden says that there is no crisis even at the border that is there a little bit of tension that maybe there’s a fault of COVID Or maybe it’s a fault or climate change, or maybe somehow Trump’s fault. Is this sound familiar? He’s been rotating the same excuses for all of his administration’s failures, many failures, the high gas prices, the inflation, the summer rage that they just went into the rising crime, the progressive Prowlers that are even renting people out of restaurants right now. We’re saying countability where’s the personal responsibility? This is a problem that we have at hand facing us in November, and the lack of leadership and strength. This is really challenging, and it’s challenged up against Americans potential. We’re better than this. National Guardsmen, Bishop Evans showed us that there are those in our society who are good, who will do everything they can to help to save lives, regardless of the situation. The Better Angels do are overwhelmed agents at the border are struggling communities up and down the Rio Grande, and that terrified unaccompanied children. This is administration care at all. Can we even look at Bishop Evans to lead us even out of eternity by him doing the right thing? Or is this administration just watching along with all of us just not wonder what we can do? left vulnerable to just the hands of politicians
that are just doing nothing but blame and game. They have no lack of conviction. They want to try to get to November and hope that no one notices, but this crisis will continue. And hopefully someday very soon. We have met And women here in Washington with the same courage and care as our border agent. Bishop Evans, November is critical. It’s right around the corner. But it’s going to take every one of these next 100 days to make sure that we change the situation of our southern border.
