Last week, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., the sole Palestinian-American U.S. House representative, addressed Jewish protestors in D.C. advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza. Tlaib has faced criticism for her stance on Israel and for her votes against a resolution condemning Hamas.

Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker observes that for all the noise liberals like Rep. Tlaib make about Israel, they’re disturbingly quiet when it comes to condemning Hamas.

There are those who are so fundamentally against Israel, that they will readily side with a terrorist group, even in our country. Let’s be clear, Israel is the only democratic nation in the Middle East. And it was an international decision to open the Jewish state there in 1948. It is a beacon of freedom and a strong ally of the United States. For those who value democracy and a rule of law, Israel represents a rare and crucial example of determination, grit, tradition, prosperity, in a region fraught with instability.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian group, Hamas, is recognized as a terrorist group by both the United States and the European Union. It’s been responsible for many, many, many attacks against Israeli citizens. They openly call for the destruction of Israel, and their sponsor, Iran, calls for destruction the U.S.

The Palestinian Authority has consistently turned away from peace negotiations throughout the years. They continue to promote anti-Israel propaganda in their schools and in their media. It’s a new interconnected world, yet they continue to foster a culture of hate in that region.

There’s such a great divide in our nation right now, liberals can’t seem to even agree with conservatives on ideals that used to be sacred common ground, the fundamental rights enshrined in our Constitution, the inherent wrongs of socialism, even the framework of traditional family and generational values.

But you would think that there will be some things, some events and issues that are so horrific that we can all agree upon a response. 1000s of Americans, however, recently proved that wrong, and they did it under the leadership of progressive politicians. Recently, some 10,000 demonstrators swarmed one of the buildings here in Washington, DC, that’s part of the House of Representatives calling themselves Jewish Voice for Peace. They were vocal in calling for a ceasefire in Israel’s defense against the atrocities of the term terrorist group Hamas.

House Representative Rasheeda Talib. She spoke at the protests about Israel and how painful it was to watch people think it’s okay to bomb a hospital, especially where their children she was wrong. About one crucial thing. It wasn’t Israel that bomb the hospital. Multiple intelligence agencies, including US intelligence have concluded that it was Hamas that bomb that hospital

not only has to lead not retracted her despicable and false claims against Israel, she hasn’t spoken out against Hamas for bombing the hospital. She hasn’t spoken out against Hamas at all. Yes, Congresswoman to leave, it is painful to watch people be okay with this to support a group that does this. It’s painful to watch you and 1000s of others be okay with this?

Why is it that Israel needs massive, massive, massive layers of evidence to prove themselves yet, many just accept the claims of a terrorist group so easily. Even the New York Times admitted that it relied too much on information from Hamas in its initial reporting, and should be more careful moving forward. All of the Palestinian media is controlled by Hamas.

Believe it or not, this is just one small example of what Israel is facing and what it has been facing for a very long time. There are those who are so fundamentally against Israel, that they will readily side with a terrorist group, even in our country. All in all, about 300 protesters were here and they got arrested at that protests, including at least three who face charges of assault on a police officer. Maybe they’re open some kind of J six hearings about that. You may have not even known that it happened because it got really rare little bit of news that they were here in Washington DC and actually sprung against our country.

The anti defamation League’s DC chapter condemned the protests. They stated that in quotes, although they claim to do so, these far left radical organizations do not represent the overwhelming majority of the Jewish community. Rather, these groups are anti Zionist, that challenge Israel’s very right to exist. Let’s be very clear. Anti Zionism is anti semitism. In quote
