US officials corrupting Biden’s Israel-Hamas position

In the aftermath of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, President Biden proclaimed unwavering and unconditional support for Israel. But as civilian deaths from the ensuing Israeli bombardment of Gaza rapidly escalated, some U.S. officials spoke out against what they perceived as Biden’s dangerous blank-check support for Israel’s war campaign.

Straight Arrow News contributor Ben Weingarten reviews four of the senior officials within this group and argues that their efforts combine to influence and corrupt the official U.S. position on the Israel-Hamas war. Weingarten indicates that the United States should continue its staunch support of Israel and that it should punish and expel these dissenting voices within its agencies and institutions.

Since Hamas’ Holocaust-level attack on Israel on Oct. 7, the Americans have looked on in horror as Hamas sympathizers and genocidal Jew-haters have flooded college campuses, city streets and even Capitol Hill. Even scarier is how many people just like these ones sit atop our national security and foreign policy apparatus, and how the Biden Middle East agenda reflects it. Let’s talk about just a few of them.

Amy McFadden is the CIA’s associate deputy director for analysis. This longtime decorated and senior intelligence officer, who used to oversee the production of the critical president’s daily brief, is today one of three officials responsible for approving all analysis shared inside the intelligence agency.

Just two weeks after the Black Sabbath massacre, McFadden shared Palestinian propaganda on her Facebook page. She changed her cover photo to an image depicting a man waving a Palestinian flag and a Keffiyeh-pattern shirt. That’s a design disingenuously treated as a symbol of Palestinian solidarity, popularized by PLO terrorist-in-chief Yasser Arafat. According to the Financial Times, McFadden had earlier posted a selfie with a sticker saying “Free Palestine” superimposed on the paragraph.

This is a pivotal CIA official promoting a foreign political cause, and not just any cause, but that of Palestinian nationalism, right after Hamas’ Nazis executed a catastrophic and savage attack overwhelmingly supported by Palestinian Arabs and against one of our foremost allies.

McFadden reportedly also recently liked a LinkedIn post from the International Crisis Group endorsing appeals critical of Israel for making the utter defeat of Hamas its top priority. God forbid. Rob Malley, another senior Biden security state official, once led that very conflict resolution-focused nonprofit. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Malley advised Barack Obama, when word leaked that while reading the ICG’s Middle East program, Malley, a Hamas apologist had met with the group’s members, Obama had to drop him. Yet Malley would resurface as Obama’s lead negotiator on the Iran nuclear deal, a deal that made America the world’s leading state sponsor of the world’s leading state sponsor of jihad, including a sponsor of Iran’s proxy, of course, Hamas. Biden tagged Malley again to work as Special Envoy to Iran to revive the nuclear deal after President Trump had killed it. This year, Malley was dropped again, he had a security clearance pulled, went on leave and is under FBI investigation. Why? Maybe because evidence shows the ICG hired analysts who served under Malley while he was president during the Trump years, who participated in Iranian influence operation against America. Now he recruited one alleged Iranian Agent of Influence, Ariane Tabatabai, to serve with him on the Biden Iran team.

She left to become Chief of Staff for the Pentagon’s Assistant Secretary of Defense for special operations and also recently became a US reserve naval intelligence officer. Tabatabai is supposedly under investigation, but somehow has reportedly retained her High-Level Security Clearance. Then there’s Maher Bitar, Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council, a BDS activist at Georgetown. He was a leader at Students for Justice in Palestine, now banned on many campuses for its Hamas support, where he organized virulently anti-Israel conferences, Bitar would leave a long paper trail of writings demonizing Israel after moving to the think tank and academic world, and also interned at the Hamas-captured UN Relief and Works Agency before working his way to the top of the US national security apparatus. Think about the damage just these four people alone may have done to America’s national interest. Then remember, they’re backed by hundreds of administration officials who have signed on to dissent cables and protest letters since the onset of the Israel-Hamas war, demanding Biden impose a ceasefire, rewarding Hamas and further punishing Israel. They actually seem pretty ungrateful. Team Biden’s overarching goal, as under team Obama and led by men in the same cast of characters, has been to make Iran the regional strong horse, coddling the mullocracy and its proxies while putting the screws to Israel. After October seventh, the Biden administration initially provided rhetorical support for Israel, and has provided it for now with weapons, but it’s trying to maintain the sinister status quo to the greatest extent politically possible. The White House has protected Iran by de-linking it from the attack its proxy Hamas perpetrated, refused to enforce let alone impose new sanctions on the mullahs, and deterred Israel from striking Hezbollah and other Iranian assets, while Iran strikes US military assets in the region. At the same time, the White House has impeded, micromanaged and subjected Israel’s war efforts to untenable rules of engagement while forcing it to resupply Hamas and accepting a strategically disastrous so-called temporary ceasefire. Washington has sought to set the terms of future peace in Gaza, calling for Hamas-light, the Palestinian Authority, to rule over the strip and ultimately a Palestinian state, again a reward for unthinkable jihadist savagery overwhelmingly supported by Palestinian Arabs. The link from the Biden administration’s personnel to policy is clear. There’s not much daylight between that policy and what unhinged progressives and fanatical Islamists are marching for across this country and the West.
