Acting Secret Service Chief’s Role Limiting Trump Resources

According to multiple sources familiar with the Secret Service’s decision-making, acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was involved in the decisions to deny additional security resources and personnel despite multiple requests from the agents assigned to former President Donald Trump’s detail leading up to the July 13 assassination attempt at a rally. The security resources requested involved asking for more counter snipers.

Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle stepped down on July 23 after testifying in front of Congress the day before.
