Elite prosecutor misused position by offering Justice Department card in DUI stop, watchdog finds

A Justice Department watchdog found that Joseph Ruddy, a federal narcotics prosecutor, misused his position by handing his business card to police during a DUI investigation. In the newly released footage, Ruddy can allegedly be seen as intoxicated.
Body-Camera footage captured Ruddy striking another vehicle, leaving the scene, and attempting to influence officers while intoxicated. The report confirmed Ruddy engaged in conduct prejudicial to the government and was referred for appropriate action by the Justice Department’s Professional Misconduct Review Unit.
