Wisconsin Supreme Court to decide whether mobile voting vans can be used in future elections

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the Wisconsin Supreme Court heard arguments about the legality of mobile voting vans used in Racine, Wisconsin for absentee voting in 2022. Republicans, led by Racine County Republican Party Chairman Ken Brown, claim the vans were illegal and targeted Democratic areas.
A Racine County Circuit Court judge ruled against mobile voting sites in January 2023. That decision was upheld by the Supreme Court in June, therefore banning vans for the upcoming 2024 election. However, the Supreme Court will now decide if the vans can be used in elections after 2024.
