Democrat and Republican lawmakers navigated a series of significant events in 2023. These included the removal of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., discussions about supporting nations in two separate wars, and the ongoing legal proceedings against former President Donald Trump. Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker asserts that as conservatives approach the 2024 election, it is vital they uphold “moral clarity.” Failure to do so, Parker argues, may allow the Left to steer values away from the principles that have historically defined America’s greatness.

The Left are creative in their depravity. They are insistent on messages of hate. They are dedicated to policies of death and division. It’s not just the matter of wrongs being rights in their eyes. These dark-hearted salesmen want to change wrongs to be right of things that most would never have even considered, that we would even be having a public conversation about.
Men in women’s sports? Neighbors protesting for support of the terrorist organization Hamas? Heartland Ohio voting against the sanctity of unborn life? Conservatives must be united. Conservatives must not lose their moral clarity, even when it means confronting populism or libertarianism, even in the GOP.
