My prediction for next year is straightforward: I believe that 2024 will be one of the most tumultuous years in American history because I believe our ruling class will stop at nothing to destroy Donald Trump as the representative of tens of millions of Americans.
In so doing, they will run roughshod over our republican system, doing likely irreparable damage that will far transcend Trump and any one election.
Past is prologue here.
In 2020, as Time Magazine infamously reported, “a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, work[ed] together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information. They were not rigging th[at] election; they were fortifying it.”
Prior to that point, Trump had faced Russiagate, which sabotaged the first two years of his presidency, then an impeachment, then a pandemic hung around his neck alongside an anti-cultural revolution from America’s streets to its boardrooms.
In the subsequent years, this effort went on steroids – with January 6, proximate cause of another impeachment that continued even as Trump was a private citizen, as the key accelerant to the War on Wrongthink.
That war led to the smearing and toxifying of up to half the country as domestic terrorists, and the pursuit of thousands accordingly.
This effort is about to reach its apex because our elites believe Americans shouldn’t be able to support a candidate who represents an agenda anathema to their own – because he threatens their power and privilege.
To defend “democracy” – which they equate with their own power and control over us – they are content to set fire to the republic.
Lawfare is pivotal to this effort.
We’ve seen the foreshadowing of it just in recent weeks with Colorado Supreme Court’s totally asinine 4-3 ruling to disqualify Donald Trump from the ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment on grounds he engaged in or incited an “insurrection” on January 6.
Let’s state that again: A state Supreme Court sought to eliminate the ability to vote for arguably the leading 2024 presidential candidate – in the name of “democracy” – despite the fact he’s never been convicted let alone charged with engaging in an insurrection, that the relevant clause doesn’t even necessarily apply to presidents, and that there was zero due process in the “case.”
This comes amid a steady drumbeat of arguments Trump is Hitler – uniquely evil, the implication being that nothing must be off the table to stop him, including accelerating the lawfare that the Biden DOJ is already trying to accelerate at warp speed alongside similarly ideological judges.
As is, Special Counsel Jack Smith is straining to do everything he can – aided and abetted by a like-minded Judge Tanya Chutkan – to secure a conviction of Donald Trump before the 2024 election.
We’ll see if the Supreme Court goes along with it.
The issue of presidential immunity is coming before the Court, on top of the Colorado disqualification case, on top of potentially the gag order imposed on Trump, with likely myriad other questions to come before the highest court in the land too.
Wait until we get a conviction on one or several counts from the lower kangaroo courts.
Meanwhile, with a maximum pressure campaign against the court’s non-leftist justices intensifying, it’s clear the left wants to intimidate its members into going along to topple Trump.
If the Supreme Court does hold against the pressure campaign being exerted against it, that won’t stop the onslaught. It will only widen and intensify it – it’ll fuel it further.
We’ve seen a mass censorship regime imposed. I believe the political establishment would like to see Twitter, now X, nuked in total. Already media may be neutered given the lawsuits and at least one massive settlement that resulted in coverage over election integrity during the 2020 election. There will be a chilling effect, interfering in political speech around these elections.
I believe we are going to see mass pro-Palestinian agitation in the streets, which will be linked to other radical leftist movements – the implicit purpose of the riots being vote left or face the threat of physical violence and destruction.
Remember how there were boarded up windows in major cities before the 2020 election? Get ready for that all over again.
I expect weaponized agencies to do everything they can to portray MAGA as domestic terrorists in the run-up to the election. The more criticisms of our institutions, the that say they are critics posing danger requiring a police state response. We saw the national security apparatus engage in entrapment in the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping case. Imagine what we could see this time – if Trump again is literally Hitler and tens of millions are by implication by implication, Nazis or Nazi sympathizers.
This is a dangerous recipe for national disunion.
They’ve been working these tactics for years, yet none have proven effective in eliminating the Bad Orange Man, and more importantly The Deplorables.
Throw in a Middle East, an explosive powder keg already, while the Russo-Ukrainian War grinds on and loses popularity in the U.S. – perhaps incentivizing a mass push by Russia to increase its aggression to get Joe Biden to sue for peace in an election year – and whatever malevolent tricks China may have up its sleeve, up to and perhaps including an invasion of Taiwan – while our borders continue to be overrun at record levels, and all of this is a recipe for chaos.
That’s before we talk about economic conditions, and any number of black swan events – natural disasters, major terrorist attacks, a pandemic etc. that could occur.
How will the administration react to any such catastrophes?
I honestly fear for what’s coming in 2024.
I pray for this country’s peace and prosperity, but most of all I pray that our republic can persist through the dark times likely ahead.
