House Republicans are considering an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Let’s talk about that prospect on the merits and the politics. Almost nothing could be more dangerous than for our commander in chief to be corrupted and compromised by foreign nations, including our worst enemies. The evidence grows daily that President Biden may well be such a corrupted and compromised leader. House Republicans would be more than justified in opening an impeachment inquiry, given the grave offenses he’s been implicated in. Presidents have been impeached for far less. We know that the Biden’s went by parent bag man hunter took in millions through business dealings with Chinese Communist Party winked individuals and entities, Ukrainian energy company Burisma and allegedly other sketchy characters from Russia to Romania and beyond. That money wrote in in large numbers while Joe was vice president and overseeing policy in many of these places, it flowed down to Biden’s with no real experience or skills in international business. Certainly not the spouses, the girlfriends or the grandchild who profited from it surreptitiously through shell companies and small dollar transactions.
We know there’s a credible allegation, Joe and Hunter each receive $5 million bribes from Burisma. Then we know about the litany of cover ups run this conduct. The DOJ hiding the FBI 1023 document detailing the alleged bribe from IRS investigators pursuing the president’s son and the Biden FBI hiding the document from congressional investigators until director Christopher rea face contempt. And then there’s the cartwheels the DOJ engaged in in the investigation so called they allegedly obstructed into the president’s son concluding in the ultimate sweetheart plea deal. That would have been a total Get Out of Jail Free card for Hunter had a Delaware judge not blown it up. And oh, yeah, either Biden’s ag or the Delaware US Attorney backed by its two Democrat senators, seems to be dissembling about what authority prosecutors had to bring charges. After two Biden appointed US Attorneys wouldn’t let the Delaware US Attorney charge hunter in their jurisdictions. The President subordinates in protecting the son protected the Biden family business from scrutiny. And therefore Joe from scrutiny, the international influence peddling scheme only existed because of Joe Biden take away his power and the family would have had nothing to sell. Biden has repeatedly denied knowledge about the family business despite growing evidence he participated in meetings related to it. Impeachment would give House Republicans the awesome investigative powers necessary to reveal what the Biden’s made from whom for what what Joe Biden knew when he knew it, what he did about it, if and how we benefited and whether he’s lied about at all. Impeachment would also allow Congress to determine whether and to what extent his family’s dealings have influenced his policies. Has the President been acting in America’s national interest or his own, and its most extreme, his actions could point towards bribery and or treason, the first two and only specific impeachable offenses identified in the Constitution. Every other impeached president has gone down for subjective high crimes and misdemeanors that never imperiled our national security and foreign policy. Like Biden’s acts may have. Clinton’s impeachment articles arose from his alleged lying and obstructing in cases involving his sexual misconduct. President Trump’s first impeachment came over alleged misconduct stemming from his policy towards Ukraine. The second frivolous impeachment for inciting an insurrection over the Capitol riot Democrats would argue might be on par with Biden’s worst possible acts. But could a president incite if he told people to march peacefully and patriotic way? Meanwhile, no one’s been charged with insurrection, only protesters were killed. The Capitol riot undermined a process the President wanted to unfold in Congress, and it started while he was speaking, he had authorized substantially more security in the days ahead of J six, which might have deterred the riot. So he wanted to defend against an insurrection. At the same time he was inciting one. And how serious was this effort for Democrats when Trump was already out the door before the impeachment finished? Now to the politics since impeachment is a political remedy with all the risks and benefits that entails. There are pros and cons from the perspective of Republicans to impeaching. These include showing their voters they’re holding President Biden accountable, exposing his conduct for the American people and tit for tat after what President Trump went through. But could impeachment also actually be a shared unit party objective? Joe Biden is historically unpopular and a uniquely flawed presidential candidate with the threat of impeachment with maybe some purple district Democrats indicating they’ll go along with Republicans in the House be enough to convince Joe to step aside and make way for governors Newsom, or Whitmer in 2024. Might establishment Democrats and Republicans want a woeful candidate and in Joe Biden sideline to increase the odds of beating Trump? Do Democrats think Republicans might overplay their hand or otherwise shoot themselves in the foot in an impeachment? Could impeachment distract from other issues and suck up oxygen and resources that might be better directed elsewhere? Republicans will have to weigh these costs and benefits in the days ahead.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) says GOP lawmakers may consider an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden over his family finances. But Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has also said impeachment isn’t on the table right now because Republicans don’t have the votes.
Straight Arrow News contributor Ben Weingarten lays out the reasons that he thinks justify a Biden impeachment and says other “presidents have been impeached for far less.”
House Republicans would be more than justified in opening an impeachment inquiry, given the grave offenses he’s been implicated in. Presidents have been impeached for far less. We know that the Bidens, led by apparent bagman Hunter, took in millions through business dealings with Chinese Communist Party-linked individuals and entities, Ukrainian energy company Burisma, and allegedly other sketchy characters from Russia to Romania and beyond.
That money rolled in in large numbers while Joe was vice president and overseeing policy in many of these places. It flowed down to Bidens with no real experience or skills in international business — certainly not the spouses, the girlfriends or the grandchild who profited from it surreptitiously through shell companies and small dollar transactions.
