On a recent calm Sunday morning, New York City Councilwoman Vicki Palin Dino received a call from the mayor’s office. New York City has 51 city council members. Vicki is only one of six Republicans on the council. She immediately knew this call would not be good news. The mayor as well as the governor of New York City had told her a decision has been made 300 migrants will be sheltered at a former Catholic high school in your district. If you’ve tried to fight back, she’s the director representative of her district. And they just unilaterally made this decision with no regard for her and her constituents. But this story represents what’s been happening across the country under the Biden era of government is no longer just our communities along the border, who have been long carrying this burden of the illegal immigration crisis. As one Republican spokeswoman recently put it. In Joe Biden’s America, every state is a border state. And it’s true. On August 8, the Democratic governor of Massachusetts sent a letter to Biden declaring a state of emergency over the migrant crisis. In the letter, Governor Haley stated Massachusetts has stepped up to address what sadly been a federal crisis of inaction that is many years in the making. This isn’t Massachusetts we’re talking about they love bite in there, or at least they used to on election day. 2020. Massachusetts voted for Biden the largest support they’d given any president in over 100 years, over 65% voted for the president. Yet in a poll from mass Inc. recent poll earlier this year, only 43% had a favorable opinion of their president. Now in the midst of a state emergency. I wonder how many of these residents still have such a favorable opinion of the President and would vote for him again, Biden set a new record for encounters with migrants along our southern border in 2021. Then in 2022, he broke that record by a million. Now in 2023. Biden has he’s tried to do all kinds of stuff to hide the problem. So through this new parolee pathway that’s been established since January, he is deceptively removing large portions of those that are entering the border. So he can now actively brag that the numbers are down. Meanwhile, the crisis is costing states billions. New York City has already spent $1.45 billion this year on this crisis. Serves them right though, because they did say that were sanctuary come on up here. Well, they’re up there now. For years, Democrats have ignored the communities of Houston Del Rio, Brownsville, and so many others along the border, and Republicans had had enough to say we’re going to spread the love. They’ve ignored Republican politicians and demonize them for doing anything that they could to stop this flood. Now, the Democrats and liberal communities across the country are echoing the same sentiments. Are we gonna see the administration finally do something? Finally? Listen? I don’t think so. It’s unlikely. If anything is said from the Biden administration, on this issue, moving for it will be just more of the same attempts to blame Republicans, especially since we’re in an election year. Seriously. Biden keeps arguing that congressional Republicans don’t want to increase funding for the border. Actually, they want the border closed. But a Biden is losing a large amount of his support from his liberal strongholds like Massachusetts, like New York, if taxpayers are spending billions as their governors are declaring states of emergencies and trying to spread out into communities, these migrants so that they can figure out solutions to this problem. Then, Biden’s blame game may just fall on deaf ears. Touching bit of irony for the treatment he has given our border communities all these years, huh? Yeah. Now New York. And in fact, what is so egregious about what is happening there in that district, with the city council member, Vicki trying to explain to her constituents I was there during their town hall, and it wasn’t pretty, to just declare to her that we’re going to dump 300 migrants into your Catholic, Irish Catholic, Italian neighborhoods. This is absolutely unacceptable. And she had no choice and the community was not happy. They were going to put males there, across from an elementary school and next door to a senior living center. She had to beg New York City leadership to please at least send me families if you’ve got to send anyone at all. So yes, there’s an awakening going on, and hopefully it will impact 2024 elections. Only then can we expect that The federal government to take the action that they need to because it is their responsibility to secure our homeland

New York City council members are raising concerns about the migrant crisis in the city, calling it “completely out of control” and “unsustainable.” Queens Councilwoman Vickie Paladino cautioned that the surge in illegal immigration is negatively affecting the quality of life for New Yorkers. New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the city has reached its maximum capacity and is unable to accommodate an additional influx of migrants.
Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker argues President Biden’s relaxed border controls are now negatively impacting Democratic cities in the Northeast. She’s hopeful those voters will take heed and vote Biden out in 2024.
